I’m very excited and a little overwhelmed to say that my new book ‘The Door-to-Door Poet’ will be published by Eye Books next month!
It tells the story of my adventures across England, as I knocked on stranger’s doors and offered to write poems for them. Each chapter ends with one of the poems I wrote on that journey.
It’s taken me 5 years to get to this point. It’s been a mission and a half. But it is being printed right this minute and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve come up with. I’m really really happy with it.
The Door-to-Door Poet will be available from all good book shops, including Waterstones, from September the 18th. You can also pre-order a copy from my online shop, by clicking the ‘buy a book’ button from the menu at the top of this page.

I just want to say a really big thank you to everyone who’s made this happen. To everyone who stopped to ask for a poem, to Eye Books, to all the people who’ve lent me a hand, gave me advice, put me up on their sofa. It means the absolute world, it really does.
Don’t ever give up on your stupid dreams people. No matter how stupid they are. No matter how long it takes. Just keep trying. Eventually, you’ll meet someone who’s crazy enough to help you make it work.
